Week by Week Photo Project

Well, we made it 52 weeks! Looks like Spidey-man is ready to be done.

Hey! It's been 51 weeks and you have all been sticking around! Thanks!

Making his escape at week 50.

Bert wants to know when he gets to drive.

"Mom, don't you think I'm getting a little old for this?" We'll try to finish strong and on time for the last 4 weeks!

47 weeks and growing like a weed!

Never going to get enough of that little face!

It almost looks like he is blowing kisses for week 45!

44 weeks? Can he really be just 8 weeks away from being a year old?

Bert seriously wanted out of that wagon this week.

Under arrest for excessive cuteness at week 42!

We are behind again for week 41 but Bert wants to remind everyone to vote tomorrow!

By the time I thought about taking the week 40 photo on Thursday, I realized the white onesie wasn't clean and didn't have time to do a load of wash until Friday. And then the picture didn't happen until Saturday. Now it's Sunday night and I'm finally getting it finished!

Wishing everyone a happy Easter for week 39!

Week 38 and Bert is a giant! I told you he wasn't going to fit in the wagon much longer...

April Fools'! As if you didn't know it
was a tiny wagon...

Week 37 and Bert is in action!

Week 36. Next week maybe we'll manage to get the wagon back outside again.

Week 35. Bert's all done laying down for the weekly photo.

Week 34. And evidently the last week for this onesie. For some comparison, scroll down and check out week 21 – it's the same onesie.

Week 33. Or to be more accurate, week 33 1/2. I'm starting to worry that he will outgrow the wagon before we get to week 52.

Week 32. Moments after this picture was taken, Bert tumbled out of the wagon. This is officially a two-person project now.

Week 31. It took both of us to keep him in the wagon!

Week 30. Let's read! All he has wanted to play with for the last two days are his books. Atta boy!

Week 29. Pretty soon all the weekly photos will be him sitting in the wagon. It's getting harder and harder to get him to lay down for more than two seconds.

Week 28, a bit belated. If you think it's hard to get the photo with all that squirming, try changing the diaper.

Week 27 and he just doesn't want to sit still.

Week 26. Yep. It was that kind of day.

Week 25 and wishing we had a party hat for this week. Hope everyone has a happy and safe New Year!

Week 24 and we had a little help getting in the spirit from Santa Mickey!

Week 23. Apparently, hitting the big 2-3 is giving him a heart attack because there is some dramatic chest-clutching going on. That or his workout in his athletic socks was hard on the old ticker.

Week 22. I don't think he even knew the cat was sniffing his head!

Week 21. Long sleeves because it's getting chilly on the quarter-acre! He's really filling up his wagon these days, isn't he?

Week 20 fell on Thanksgiving, hence the delayed posting. Also, that explains why our baby is in a roasting pan. Hope everyone had a wonderful, filling turkey day!

Week 19! We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I will try to get all his stats up for you tomorrow.

Week 18...rubbing his Buddha belly!

Week 17...could this be our last outside photo until spring?

Week 16 and sporting the Halloween socks.

Week 15. Yes, folks, that is a smile. Yes, it required ridiculous antics to get it so I hope you appreciate it.

Week 14...with his hair in a faux-hawk and working on jazz hands. We don't even watch "Glee" in this house!

Finally, we made it back outside for the week 13 photo! Check out those chubber legs...

A belated posting of the week 12 photo. I know you've all been on the edge of your seats since some of you start looking for the Thursday photo on Tuesdays...

Week 11...another rainy day, another inside photo.

Double digits...week 10! The photo is up and it's still Thursday, we got the cat in the shot, and it's horizontal. Craziness over here on the quarter-acre!

This Thursday was a rainy one on the quarter-acre so it was an inside photo. Bert smiled before and after I took pictures, but not during. I think he is going for the Calvin Klein model pout.

In honor of the start of football season, Keith requested that the week 8 photo be taken with Bert in his Penn State gear. Will his first word be "Joe-Pa"?

Week 7! We almost didn't get the photo before it got dark outside, but the flash got him to open his eyes!

Week 6!

Lookin' alive for week 5. I think he's getting the hang of this! At our doctor's appointment this week, Bert weighed in at 11 pounds, 2 ounces and is 21.5" long now.

Week 4!

Week 3. Just when you thought we might have fallen off the wagon (ha ha, pun intended).

Week 2 (and it's only Friday!) I think he looks bigger already!

We were inspired by this photo project over at YHL and decided to give it a try with our own little man. The goal will be to take Bert's photo in his red Radio Flyer wagon every Thursday for the first year so everybody can see how he grows. Maybe by telling you all that this is what we are going to do will make us more committed but I can very easily see a few Thursdays slipping by us. Anyway, it should give me a chance to get my Photoshop skills dusted off to mark the week on his onesie.

And without further ado, here is week 1!

(The goal also includes trying to get the photo posted on Thursday as well but that didn't happen this week. Obviously.)
