To the Zoo!

For the third year running, we have made a trip to the zoo with my Mom-mom and Grandpop. It was Elliott's first time, and we had perfect weather for it. So perfect, in fact, that the zoo balloon was flying and we got to take trip up in it.

After the balloon, it was onto the animals.

If there was climbing to be done, Colter did it.

Colter was excited about the hands-on exhibits at the kids' area, as well as brushing the goats and feeding the ducks. Next year, I hope he is ready to ride the camel and the carousel.

Boy + Dirt

A few evenings ago, Colter got a haircut. While I was cleaning off the clippers, he headed to the dirt pile. Bedtime was only moments away, but I just couldn't interrupt him, he was so happy. I just sat back and enjoyed the show. And took a zillion photos so you can too.

Who cares how dirty he gets on bath night?

Scoop the Poop

It was time for the spring "shitment" for the garden, and Colter got to help out.

Choo Choo!

A couple weekends ago, Keith, Colter, and Keith's dad checked out a local model train display. Our neighbor helps with it each year, and shared a few pictures of them checking out all the trains.

We're looking forward to setting up Colter's train from his great-grandpop under the tree this year. We are planning on just having it out for a few days so that he can see and enjoy it, and hopefully he is old enough to understand he needs to take care of it.
